Polygons that delineate the legally described boundaries of parcels (including right-of-way) with associated parcel attribute data from the Real Estate Tax Roll (e.g., situs address, ownership, owner address) and Appraisal Database (e.g., land use, year structure built, appraised value). The polygons cover the entire County in a seamless manner (i.e., no gaps between polygons). Coincident polygons exist to depict situations of vertical parcel ownership (e.g., condominium units, subsurface mineral rights), multiple ownership interests in a parcel (e.g., condominium common interest parcels), and leased interest in a parcel.
To spatially delineate the boundaries of parcels, to convey all possible ownership and leased land interest in parcels, and to make available tax and appraisal data regarding these parcels. Because of coincident polygons, extreme care must be taken when summarizing attribute data quantitatively to ensure accurate results.
